true stories from the highway patrol

im not gonna lie, the first night was a little nerve racking. after spending her first day at home, it was time for bed. isabel finished her midnight snack and snuggled into her bed. what a relief to be back in our own bed. andrea missed it for sure, and the vinyl piece of transforming furniture heaven i was sleeping on wasnt exactly the hampton inn. we said a little prayer for the newest member of the fam and tried to fall asleep. unfortunately for me, every little sound she made or didnt make had to mean something was wrong. it wasnt easy to trust she was just fine. so what if she ended up sleeping in my arms for most of the night! is it normal to make babies make noises just to make sure they are breathing? i mean, not that i did that or anything. this morning met isabel with her first bath. notice the picture of her looking into the mirror at the camera. what a ham. not long after that, she was introduced to the swing. which she loves. (it only looks uncomfortable) her tia sabrina visited with psuedo tia darlene. they entertained us with "true stories from the highway patrol". they witnessed a foot chase between texas's finest, and la migras number one target on i-10. my mom left today and will be back on thursday. chad joined us as well. he wasnt hungry. andrea is still kicking first time mommie butt. im so terribly proud of her. until next time.
